About this lot
The Banko Dhadhato lot is sourced from family-owned farms organized around the Banko Dhadhato Cooperative / village in the southern district of Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia. This Cooperative was established in 2012 and currently has 177 members. In 2012, the cooperative joined the Yirgacheffe Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union (YCFCU), an umbrella organization established in 2002 that is designed to support a sustainable coffee supply from cooperatives in the Gedeo ethnic region of Ethiopia. There are twenty-six other cooperatives affiliated with the YCFCU totaling more than 35,000 members.
This was simply a stand-out cup among many other prospects of this same region and processing method.
Tons of ripe, tropical fruit with a nectar-like viscosity. Even though this coffee’s texture is intense there is an overall balance to the cup with clean high-notes that are slightly floral. A wonderfully decadent profile.
